THE SPICE ISLE
Arguably one of the most idyllic beach destinations worldwide, the island has a history dating back centuries and a port whose activity bustles with energy as huge as the ocean. Majestic wooden dhows slip quietly back into port returning from plying their wares up and down the mainland coastline. Despite being a well-known tourist hotspot, Zanzibar remains passionately and absolutely African, unchanged by the number of visitors to it's shores.
You may choose to see as much or as little of the island as you please - beach life could not be better with choices ranging from quiet self contained privately owned historic houses to Private Islands exclusively situated off the coast with every possible level in between.
